Unit tests in page_table were initializing the VM with a kernel_reserved section that was slightly smaller than expected. Then, when the fixed alloc to support semaphores was done, the fixed address used was actually below the start of the kernel address space. As a result this caused an overflow in the base shift in the buddy allocator responsible for managing the fixed alloc.
