In order to show that atomicity tests prove atomicity, we need to show non-atomic operations fail. This patch is the first step toward that, which is to add support for non-atomic operations. Since the common functions for the different operations must now support 3 options (32-bit, 64-bit, and non-atomic), change the macros to inline functions for decreased complexity and better readability.
