6b2c080f8f gpu:nvgpu: add enable flag for KMD_SCHEDULING_WORKER_THREAD support
Currently KMD_SCHEDULING_WORKER_THREAD can be enabled/disabled using
compile time flag but this flag does give ability to control the
feature based on the chip.
GSP is enabled only on ga10b where KMD_SCHEDULING_WORKER_THREAD should
be disabled while should be enabled for other chips at the same time
to support GVS tests.
Change adds enabled flag to control KMD_SCHEDULING_WORKER_THREAD based
on the chip.

8c710694e8 gpu:nvgpu: fix for consecutive domain submission
When a user-domain gets removed, tsg belongs to this also gets removed
and runlist update happens accordingly. If same tsg was submitted to gpu
then updated runlist also needs to re-submit. This works fine with the
existing legacy cases but if GPU is running the shadow domain submitted
by manual mode scheduler and domain belongs to this gets removed then
updated runlist is not being submitted to GPU. This runlist buffer
inconsistency causes mmu fault later.

This change adds a "remove" field in the runlist domain which gets set
to true when runlist update happens for the channel removal. Later
worker thread submit the updated runlist if this flag set to true.

144f548552 gpu:nvgpu: fix for shadow domain submission
There are three issues with shadow domain submission:
1. runlist mem is not being swapped with mem_hw for shadow domain when
there is non-shadow domain being bound to tsg which does not allow runlist
to have all the tsgs. To fix this nvgpu_runlist_swap_mem() is being called
for shadow domain as well.
2. tsg num_active_channels is being set as part of non-shadow domain which
does happen after shadow domain. Due to this, runlist tsg length is not
being set as part of runlist reconstruct and leaving tsg length 0 for last
tsg. To fix this, tsg num_active_channels always get set for shadow domain
as it gets configured first.
3. NV_BUILD_CONFIGURATION_VARIANT_IS_EMBEDDED is not solving the purpose
to differentiate l4t and embedded_linux builds so using
NV_BUILD_SYSTEM_TYPE in place of this to find out the build type.

L4t is using round robin scheduling and this issue coming with manual mode
scheduling so adding the fix only for manual mode scheduling support.

13699c4c15 gpu: nvgpu: ensure worker thread is disabled during rg
A previous commit ID 44b6bfbc1 added a hack to prevent
the worker thread from calling nvgpu_runlist_tick()
in post_process if the next domain matches the previous.

This could potentially still face issues with multi-domains
in future.

A better way is to synchronize the thread to suspend/resume
alongwith the device's common OS agnostic suspend/resume
operations. This shall emulate the GSP as well.
This shall also take care of the power constraints
i.e. the worker thread can be expected to always work
with the power enabled and thus we can get rid of the complex
gk20a_busy() lock here for good.

Implemented a state-machine based approach for suspending/
resuming the NVS worker thread from the existing callbacks.

Remove support for NVS worker thread creation for VGPU.
hw_submit method is currently set to NULL for VGPU. VGPU
instead submits its updates via the runlist.reload() method.

1bdca92c50 gpu: nvgpu: modify rl_domain member
KMD needs to send the domain id and GPU_VA corresponding
to the struct runlist_domains to GSP. In the current
implementation, struct nvgpu_runlist_domain contains
the domain name instead of domain id. This requires
an additional search by name everytime an update
is needed to be submitted to the GSP.

Modify the struct nvgpu_runlist_domain to store domain id
instead of domain name. This simplifies the flow and avoids
unnecessary search.

Removed the conditional check for existence of shadow domain
as its a deadcode. Shadow Domain is not searchable in the list
of domains inside the struct nvgpu_runlist.

d8e8eb65d3 nvgpu: gpu: separate runlist submit from construction
This patch primary separates runlist modification from
runlist submits.

Instead of submitting the runlist(domain) immediately after
modification, a worker thread interface is now being used to
synchronously schedule runlist submits. If the runlist being
scheduled is currently active, the submit happens instantly,
otherwise, it will happen in the next iteration when the nvs
thread will schedule the domain. This external interface uses
a condition variable to wait for the completion of the
synchronous submits.

A pending_update variable is used to synchronize domain memory
swaps just before being submitted.

To facilitate faster scheduling via the NVS thread, nvgpu_dom
itself contains an array of rl_domain pointers. This can then
be used to select the appropriate rl_domain directly for scheduling
as against the earlier approach of maintaining nvs domains and rl
domains in sync everytime.

c1ea9e3955 gpu: nvgpu: correct usage for gk20a_busy_noresume
Background: In case of a deferred suspend implemented by gk20a_idle,
the device waits for a delay before suspending and invoking
power gating callbacks. This helps minimize resume latency for any
resume calls(gk20a_busy) that occur before the delay.

Now, some APIs spread across the driver requires that if the device
is powered on, then they can proceed with register writes, but if its
powered off, then it must return. Examples of such APIs include
l2_flush, fb_flush and even nvs_thread. We have relied on
some hacks to ensure the device is kept powered on to prevent any such
delayed suspension to proceed. However, this still raced for some calls
like ioctl l2_flush, so gk20a_busy() was added (Refer to commit Id
dd341e7ecbaf65843cb8059f9d57a8be58952f63)

Upstream linux kernel has introduced the API pm_runtime_get_if_active
specifically to handle the corner case for locking the state during the
event of a deferred suspend.

According to the Linux kernel docs, invoking the API with
ign_usage_count parameter set to true, prevents an incoming suspend
if it has not already suspended.

With this, there is no longer a need to check whether
nvgpu_is_powered_off(). Changed the behavior of gk20a_busy_noresume()
to return bool. It returns true, iff it managed to prevent
an imminent suspend, else returns false. For cases where
PM runtime is disabled, the code follows the existing implementation.

Added missing gk20a_busy_noresume() calls to tlb_invalidate.

Also, moved gk20a_pm_deinit to after nvgpu_quiesce() in
the module removal path. This is done to prevent regs access
after registers are locked out at the end of nvgpu_quiesce. This
can happen as some free function calls post quiesce might still
have l2_flush, fb_flush deep inside their stack, hence invoke
gk20a_pm_deinit to disable pm_runtime immediately after quiesce.

Kept the legacy implementation same for VGPU and
older kernels

26525cb1cf gpu: nvgpu: runlist changes for default domain implementation
In order to support the concept of the default domain, a new
rl domain is created that shadows all the other domains i.e.
all channels of all TSGs are replicated here. This is scheduled
by default during GPU boot.

1) The shadow rl_domain is constructed during poweron sequence via
nvgpu_runlist_alloc_shadow_rl_domain(). struct nvgpu_runlist
is appended to store this separately as 'shadow_rl_domain'.
This is scheduled in background as long as no other user created
rl domains exist.

2) 'shadow_rl_domain' is scheduled out once user created rl domain
exist. At this point, any updates in the user created rl domains
are synchronized with the 'shadow_rl_domain'. i.e. 'shadow_rl_domain'
is also reconstructed to contain active channels and tsgs from the rl
domain.

3) 'shadow_rl_domain' is scheduled back in when the last user created
rl domain is removed.

4) In future for manual mode, driver shall support explicitely
switching to 'shadow_rl_domain'. Also, we will move to an
implementation where 'shadow_rl_domain' is switched out only when
other domains are actively scheduled. These changes will be
   implemented later.

632644b44a gpu: nvgpu: couple runlist domains and nvs
Now that the main nvsched code exists in the nvgpu build, make it
control the runlist domains. As a new nvs domain is created, create the
relevant runlist data too. To support the default domain, create a
default nvs domain at boot.

The scheduling domain code owns the responsibility of domain lifetime,
and runlist domains exist to serve that logic although the RL domains
are directly used by channel and TSG logic. Add refcounting to the
scheduler uapi level to make sure that busy domains (that still have TSG
participants) do not get removed too early.

Adjust error injection sensitive unit tests to match the updated logic.

3d9c67a0e7 gpu: nvgpu: enable Orin support in safety build
Most of the Orin chip specific code is compiled out of safety build
with CONFIG_NVGPU_NON_FUSA and CONFIG_NVGPU_HAL_NON_FUSA. Remove the
config protection from Orin/GA10B specific code. Currently all code
is enabled. Code not required in safety will be compiled out later
in separate activity.

Other noteworthy changes in this patch related to safety build:

- In ga10b_ce_request_idle(), add a log print to dump num_pce so that
compiler does not complain about unused variable num_pce.
- In ga10b_fifo_ctxsw_timeout_isr(), protect variables active_eng_id and
recover under CONFIG_NVGPU_KERNEL_MODE_SUBMIT to fix compilation
  errors of unused variables.
- Compile out HAL gops.pbdma.force_ce_split() from safety since this HAL
is GA100 specific and not required for GA10B.
- Compile out gr_ga100_process_context_buffer_priv_segment() with
  CONFIG_NVGPU_DEBUGGER.
- Compile out VAB support with CONFIG_NVGPU_HAL_NON_FUSA.
- In ga10b_gr_intr_handle_sw_method(), protect left_shift_by_2 variable
with appropriate configs to fix unused variable compilation error.
- In ga10b_intr_isr_stall_host2soc_3(), compile ELPG function calls
  with CONFIG_NVGPU_POWER_PG.
- In ga10b_pmu_handle_swgen1_irq(), move whole function body under
CONFIG_NVGPU_FALCON_DEBUG to fix unused variable compilation errors.
- Add below TU104 specific files in safety build since some of the code
in those files is required for GA10B. Unnecessary code will be
  compiled out later on.
	hal/gr/init/gr_init_tu104.c
	hal/class/class_tu104.c
	hal/mc/mc_tu104.c
	hal/fifo/usermode_tu104.c
	hal/gr/falcon/gr_falcon_tu104.c
- Compile out GA10B specific debugger/profiler related files from
  safety build.
- Disable CONFIG_NVGPU_FALCON_DEBUG from safety debug build temporarily
to work around compilation errors seen with keeping this config
enabled. Config will be re-enabled in safety debug build later.

3af33f2454 gpu: nvgpu: swap runlist domains
When there are multiple scheduling domains, each runlist pointer has to
be switched according to the active scheduling policy. For now implement
a trivial round robin policy to loop the domains over, just sufficient
for testing. In the future the switching will be owned by the scheduler
code, but this helps prepare the design for that.

The switching will not do anything if there is only one domain, so
current functionality is not affected.

For simplicity, all runlists are switched at the same time. In the
future, it may be desirable to swap e.g. only the GR runlist and keep
others running free, outside scheduler control.

1d23b8f13a gpu: nvgpu: introduce internal runlist domain
The current runlist code assumes a single runlist buffer to hold all TSG
and channel entries. Create separate RL domain and domain memory types
to hold data that is related to only a scheduling domain and not
directly to the runlist hardware; in the future, more than one domains
may exist and one of them is enabled at a time.

The domain is used only internally by the runlist code at this point and
is functionally equivalent to the current runlist memory that houses the
round robin entries.

The double buffering is still kept, although more domains might benefit
from some cleverness. Although any number of created domains may be
edited in runtime, nly one runlist memory is accessed by the hardware at
a time. To spare some contiguous memory, this should be considered an
opportunity for optimization in the future.

Update the nvgpu_runlist_update_for_channel() function:

  - Rename it to nvgpu_runlist_update()
  - Have it take a pointer to the runlist to update instead

better but there's a few places where it's worse (for
    now).

This starts the slow and painful process of moving away from
the non-runlist code using runlist IDs in many places it should
not.

Most of this patch is just fixing compilation problems with
the minor header updates.

Also rename the fields runlist_info and active_runlist_info to

_are_ the runlist representations in SW; they are not merely
informational.

fba96fdc09 gpu: nvgpu: Replace nvgpu_engine_info with nvgpu_device
Delete the struct nvgpu_engine_info as it's essentially identical to
struct nvgpu_device. Duplicating data structures is not ideal as it's
terribly confusing what does what.

Update all uses of nvgpu_engine_info to use struct nvgpu_device. This
is often a fairly straight forward replacement. Couple of places though
where things got interesting:

  - The enum_type that engine_info uses is defined in engines.h and
has a bit of SW abstraction - in particular the GRCE type. The only
place this seemed to be actually relevant (the IOCTL providing device
info to userspace) the GRCE engines can be worked out by comparing
    runlist ID.
  - Addition of masks based on intr_id and reset_id; those can be
computed easily enough using BIT32() but this is an area that
    could be improved on.

This reaches into a lot of extraneous code that traverses the fifo
active engines list and dramtically simplifies this. Now, instead of
having to go through a table of engine IDs that point to the list of
all host engines, the active engine list is just a list of pointers to
valid engines. It's now trivial to do a for-all-active-engines type
loop. This could even be turned into a generic macro or otherwise
abstracted in the future.

fbb6a5bc1c gpu: nvgpu: Remove fifo->pbdma_map
The FIFO pbdma map is an array of bit maps that link PBDMAs to runlists.
This array allows other software to query what PBDMA(s) serves a given
runlist. The PBDMA map is read verbatim from an array of host registers.
These registers are stored in a kmalloc()'ed array.

This causes a problem for the device management code. The device
management initialization executes well before the rest of the FIFO
PBDMA initialization occurs. Thus, if the device management code
queries the PBDMA mapping for a given device/runlist, the mapping has
yet to be populated.

In the next patches in this series the engine management code is subsumed
into the device management code. In other words the device struct is
reused by the engine management and all host SW does is pull pointers to
the host managed devices from the device manager. This means that all
engine initialization that used to be done on top of the device
management needs to move to the device code.

So, long story short, the PBDMA map needs to be read from the registers
directly, instead of an array that gets allocated long after the device
code has run.

This patch removes the pbdma map array, deletes two HALs that managed
that, and instead provides a new HAL to query this map directly from
the registers so that the device code can use it.

319520ff57 gpu: nvgpu: Add a new device manager unit
This adds a new device management unit in the common code responsible
for facilitating the parsing of the GPU top device list and providing
that info to other units in nvgpu.

The basic idea is to read this list once from HW and store it in a
set of lists corresponding to each device type (graphics, LCE, etc).
Many of the HALs in top can be deleted and instead implemented using
common code parsing the SW representation.

Every time the driver queries the device list it does so using a
device type and instance ID. This is common code. The HAL is responsible
for populating the device list in such a way that the driver can
query it in a chip agnostic manner.

Also delete some of the unit tests for functions that no longer
exist. This code will require new unit tests in time; those should be
quite simple to write once unit testing is needed.
